Game development studio League of Geeks has unveiled significant strategic shifts that are reshaping its business model and affecting its workforce.

The studio cites escalating operational costs, a declining Australian dollar, disappointing Early Access revenue, and a sudden scarcity of funding options within the gaming sector as reasons for its drastic measures. Consequently, League of Geeks has had to terminate over half of its staff, including all members working on Jumplight Odyssey, leading to an indefinite halt in the game's production.

As a result of these developments, Jumplight Odyssey will not be released as a completed product and will not make its way onto PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S platforms as previously planned.

Despite these setbacks, League of Geeks affirms that Solium Infernum is still slated for release on February 14, 2024. Additionally, Armello will maintain the level of support it currently enjoys.

To put the staffing changes into perspective, 29 individuals have been laid off from their positions at the company.
