Secret Neighbor review
Secret Neighbor is an action-adventure game developed by Russian game developer Dynamic Pixels and Hologryph. The title was published on 24 October 2019 on Steam. For now, you can play Secret Neighbor on two platforms: Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The game is a sequel to Hello Neighbor but it has a lot of new features and improved gameplay. Secret Neighbor is not a free game. The price depends on the platform you want to download the game.

If you have ever played Hello Neighbor, so you will be familiar with the basic rules and gameplay of Secret Neighbor. Similar to its sequel, your main task is to sneak into the neighbor’s house, then, find and open the basement to reveal the neighbor’s secrets. But in Secret Neighbor, there are some main changes made to the gameplay. First of all, it is a multiplayer game. It means that you can gather a team from your friends or play with unknown strangers from different parts of the world. Each team consists of up to 6 players.
The next change is the shocking truth that you have to find out when you are almost near the basement. It turns out that someone from your team is a neighbor undercover. Who? We do not know but it can be even you. Moreover, the players can choose whether they want to play as one who wants to sneak into the house or as a neighbor. In the last case, you need to use everything in your power to prevent other players from succeeding. But at the same time do not get caught and do everything possible so that no one thinks that the neighbor is you.
The events described in Secret Neighbor take place between Act 1 and Act 2 of the original Hello Neighbor game. If you choose to play as a neighbor, you will get additional useful arsenal. For example, a set of gadgets, such as bear traps, a secret control room, and so on. In contrast, the intruders have special abilities and a bag with extra places. You can use it to collect the items and, finally, unlock the door of the basement.

Almost all events in the game will occur in the dark or in a house that is also poorly lit. That is why the Secret Neighbor has many light illuminations and effects. For example, the developers displayed the light from the lantern well, and there is also a lot of neon light. The requirements for the graphic card for the Microsoft Windows platform are the following:
- The minimum: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760, Radeon R9 270;
- The recommended: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, Radeon RX 580.
The sounds are decent. The developers recommend having a good stereo card and a high-quality microphone because this game depends on in-game communication.
