11. San Zhi, Taiwan

The Sanzhi pod houses, also famous as Sanzhi Pod City, were a set of futuristic saucer-shaped buildings constructed in 1978. The houses were built as a part of an elite town for the rich. The project was abandoned because of multiple horrible accidents that happened there. The houses were demolished over 10 years ago. The place is now being transformed into a resort.
