3. The Maunsell Sea Forts, England

The Maunsell Forts is a group of navy towers constructed in the Thames Estuary in 1942 to guard London against the German air force. These days, the forts are abandoned. There are boat tours to the forts for those who want to explore them, but the affair is potentially dangerous, for the structures are in a state of advanced decay.
